COACHING

Philosophy & Background

Coaching is an essential component of any successful Professional Development plan, providing a dedicated thought partner to help individuals or small groups to reflect on their role and, with a little guidance on the side, discover what it is that motivates them to be the best educator they can be.

My Coaching philosophy is very much centered around building relationships, both within the coaching relationship & also across your organization, to help the team member(s) being coached to see the big picture of their strengths, challenges and opportunities, as well as the potential for them to impact and be impacted by their fellow educators. Education is trending more and more toward a greater focus on collaboration to create more focused, effective, and consistent learning experiences for students and in fostering that same level of collaboration within our coaching relationship there is a greater connection created to the overall mission and vision of your school or district.

I bring nearly 20 years experience coaching in a variety of roles & topics including time as Head Basketball Coach, Director of Educational Technology, Mentor Teachers and more. I absolutely love interacting with people (especially educators) and figuring out what makes them tick. I look forward to working with you and your fellow educators to create opportunities for growth in their teaching, leadership, communication & much more.
